nRF52840 AB BLE Gateway logging or debug

Hi All,

We have nRF52840 AB BLE Gateways deployed and few of them lose network connectivity on Wifi. I am wondering if there is any logging we can set on the BLE gateway to debug and understand on why it got disconnected.

Is there any such capability to log and retrieve this log?

Thanks for all your help.

Hi all,

Any one has any good ideas on how to accomplish this?

Sorry for reply later.

  • How did you power the gateway?
  • Do you use the power cable we shipped? You must use power adapter 5V / 2A to power the gateway right.
  • Do you use ethernet or WiFi connection?

We used the same power cable you shipped using DC power and we are using WiFi.

Is there any logging we can enable to understand on why the gateway disconnects?

The gateway output logs from hardware serial port. You can’t get the log directly.

  • How far is your device from the router?
  • Please check the firmware version at the Dashboard screen of the config tool.

Hi

Great. How do you get the output log from serial port? Any instructions?

To answer your question, it is further from the AP, but it has clear view of the AP with no obstrustruction. There are other BLE gateways at this length only this one shows poor RSSI and drops the connection from time to time.

I believe we are using 1.5.10i as firmware. Is there a later version esp with the fixes for Wifi connectivity?

Also just checked the AC adapter. It shows Model XO-L90C(UK) Manufacturer Shenszhen Crawford co Ltd. It shows Input 110-240V - 50/60Hz 0.3 A Total output DC5V=2.4 A (12W) Max.

Please advice on logging/ firmware and also AC adapter.

Please check my message. I asked some questions.
