yes my question id for the ibeacon receiver.
The RSSI filter is filter beacons that far than the distance you chosen. Let’s say you change the filter to 10 meters, the receiver will filter out beacons > 10 meters.
Note: the distance filter is not accuracy.

The default Value Make a filter based on distance?

Receiver will try its best to scan BLE device if default value is set. No filter.
